It targets the deep connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, and fascia, rather than focusing on muscle strength and flexibility. The practice is meditative and emphasizes mindfulness, relaxation, and deep breathing. Yin Yoga is often used to increase flexibility, improve joint mobility, and promote mental calmness. It complements more dynamic styles of yoga by offering a balance of stillness and energy release.
